Polyurethanes are used in flexible foams, rigid foams, reaction injection molded (RIM) elastomers, cast elastomers, as well as soles, adhesives, coatings, sealants, etc., where foam is the majority, while soft foam in foam Take up the majority. Soft foam is mainly used for shockproof furniture, mattresses, carpets, car seats, shockproof packaging, etc. The rigid foam is mainly used in the edge of the edge. It can be used as a laminate for building. It can be combined with soft materials such as paper, aluminum foil or hard materials such as aluminum or steel. It can also be used in refrigerators, freezers, etc. In addition, there are applications in packaging, transportation and so on. RIM products are mainly used in the automotive industry, including instrument panels, bumpers, main panels, standard windows, as well as agricultural equipment, mining equipment, equipment enclosures and sporting goods. Polyurethane castings are mainly used in industrial tires, skate wheels, printer rollers, conveyor belts, pumps, etc.

All soft foam waste can be used to re-bond the lower layer of the carpet. The soft foam is separated and purified and cut into pieces of a certain size. The foamed material is coated with a binder. The binder is toluene diisocyanate (TDI) or diphenylguanidinium diisocyanate (MDI) and polyether alcohol. The raw material polyurethane is used in an amount of 10% to 20% by weight of the foam. After adding the catalyst, it is mixed, put into a mold, and heated and pressed to cure. Molded products having different densities (40-100 kg/m3) can be obtained depending on the applied pressure. Another method of using the foam is to pulverize the soft foam into a powder of a certain size at a low temperature, and the powder is mixed with the polyol, and the amount of the polyol can be 15%-20% relative to the polyol; the polyol and the powder are made of The slurry is mixed with isocyanic acid and then foamed on a foam processing equipment. By controlling the amount of catalyst and isocyanic acid, a good foam can be obtained, which is comparable to the foam properties of the original material.

In addition, the polyurethane is subjected to alcoholysis, hydrolysis, cracking, etc, and the polyol and related raw materials can be recovered. It can be steam hydrolyzed, glycol alcoholysis, cracking and the like.
